Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive and transfer to Kibale National Park

You will be welcomed and picked by our guide from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe and embark on the journey to Kibale national park. The beautiful countryside gives you great views for lunch and for photography and for good memories. You will continue to Fort portal where you will have lunch and continue to visit the Tooro Kingdom palace. Continue to Kibale National Park in the evening hours and check in at the lodge.

Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking

After breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for briefing at 7 am with other visitors together. You will then hit the jungle and start the search for habituated chimpanzees and once you find them, you will be allowed to spend one full hour with them. Remember to follow the right procedures as you interact with the chimps for that whole hour. Return to the lodge for lunch and launch a swamp walk to Bigodi swamp. You will catch up with several other primates like the Baboons and the colobus monkeys, different tree species, and many bird species among others. Return to the lodge later for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park & Evening Game drive

After breakfast at the lodge, you will start off your journey transferring to one of Uganda’s largest and oldest parks, Queen Elizabeth National Park. The beautiful green undergrowth on the roadsides will refresh your atmosphere as you approach Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will have your lunch at the park and launch an evening game drive to catch up with your favorite gem like the lions, elephants, giraffes, impalas, warthogs, buffaloes and waterbucks among others. Retire at the lodge later for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Game drive and boat cruise

After breakfast in the morning, you will launch an early morning game drive to watch the early risers. Morning hours are the best time to watch the wildlife since they are most active at this time feeding. The hungry cats are seen chasing their prey as the rest of the animals are just catching their first meal. Look out for the lions, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and the waterbucks among others. Drive off to the lodge for lunch break and prepare for the boat cruise. Lunch a boat cruise at the famous Kazinga channel to catchup with the hippos and crocodiles as they swim and sunbathe at the shores. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi National Park

Start on the journey to Bwindi after a tasty breakfast meal at the lodge, you will drive through the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National park to watch the tree climbing lions. This park is home to the highest number of lions among which are the tree climbing lions. Proceed to Bwindi National Park arriving in early evening and if time allows, you will do a community tour to learn about the village lifestyle of the surrounding communities. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 6: Gorilla Tracking

After breakfast, you will be driven to the briefing area of the park very early to join other guests and be allocated a gorilla family to track. You will then go into the forest with a team of ranger guides and start the search for the mountain Gorillas until you find them. You will be allowed to spend one full hour with them as you take pictures and learn about them with your guides. Return to the starting point and meet your guide and head to the hotel for lunch and relaxation. You will have a community tour if time allows to experience the African way of life. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 7: Transfer to Lake Mburo NP & Game drive

After breakfast at the lodge, you will set off for Lake Mburo National Park for another game viewing experience. The journey may take 2-3 hours to arrive at Mburo and you can choose to take a nap and let your driver do the driving or choose to enjoy the beautiful views of the rolling hills of this area. Arrive in the early noon and have your lunch at the lodge after checking in. Launch an afternoon game drive and have a chance to watch the Zebras, elephants, impalas, warthogs and giraffes among others. Return to the lodge after this exciting moment and have your dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Enroute game drive and return to Kampala  

Return to Kampala after the morning breakfast.
